Violet Short Photography|Fashion Photography Inspiration

I had a session done recently (the day after Christmas) on a cold day in Indianapolis. I collaborated with makeup artist Meg Stine of Indianapolis in creating a stylized winter bridal portrait session. My model, Alexandra, required little to no help in posing as she was so in tune with her character the role she was playing as a hidden bride. Our concept was one of angst, fear and an unwillingness to grow up. This bride has runaway and came to a place of sanctuary in the forest. I have found her, and so begins the journey! Also along side of me during this shoot was Jean Loper Photography (  ).
My style as a photographer would be described as dream-like, nostalgic, and light. I have been working in photography for a little over a year now and I am continuing to learn and strengthen my knowledge with every new shoot (this being the last and one of my favorites of the year 2011).

I’d say you captured the essence of dream like. In some cases, almost ethereal. Excellent work!
