/’For this session I actually saw my model at a Halloween Party. I loved her Cinderella costume she was wearing, I pulled myself together and asked her if she would be interested in modeling for me and I gave her my card. The conversation didn’t come out like I had rehearsed in my mind and I was pretty sure that she would never email me, but a couple of weeks later she did! We went ahead and planned to meet at a wildlife refuge in Alaska, and I asked her to wear her Cinderella costume, which happened to be her wedding dress! It was 20 Degrees outside when we took the photos, and the couple was freezing! But, I think that the photos look magical with the scenery and her outfit. Her and her husband are newlyweds, and so much fun to photograph.

Having a theme is always a great start to lovely engagements since it gives the entire event a launching point. With that said it was really cool to capture vintage-styled boat idea for the engagements of Jason & Amanda at the Battleship TEXAS State Historic Site. Really dramatic light in certain parts of this scene but the highlight was their amazing chemistry. Shooting in greenery surrounding the monument was touching as well. My favorite frames would have to be on the stairs of the monument…the sun was setting and their chemistry was quite effortless. – Civic Photos

Not everyone is interested in shooting in an abandoned school in Atlanta, but Kim requested that I find something very gritty, urban, and unique. So, here we are in this crazy abandoned school exploring the various rooms, textures, and broken remnants of the history spread around the floors. As girly as Kim is, she had no issues climbing through broken windows or leaning against decaying walls to get the shots we wanted. As you can see this place has seen it’s day and various people seem to use it now for whatever it is they do there. I’m not sure this would be a good place to hang out at night, but during the day it’s very safe as far as abandoned locations go.
