Meg Fish Photography|Newborn and Maternity Inspiration

Tuesday, August 16th, 2011
I fell in love with portraiture early, but mostly just beautiful things and beautiful photographs. After school I noticed a lack of “pretty” photographs for pregnancy and wanted to fill the gap. I want every mama to feel like the cover of a magazine, even 9 months pregnant! And then I absolutely fell head over heels for newborns… so these are my passions. I also have an 11 month old who loves to bat her long eyelashes at the camera and is a constant inspiration.
Gear : Nikon D300, 50mm 1.4, 105mm macro, shooting around 1/125 and about f/3

Crowned Embellishments Giveaway|Newborn Inspiration

Monday, August 8th, 2011

When planning my daughter’s first birthday party, I was on an endless search for a small antique crown. I fell in love with santos (doll) crowns, but made out of metal and sometimes with sharp edges I found them impossible to use with a babe, especially newborns. So I created and developed these exquisite pieces. Each crown is hand made and painted from vintage and modern textiles. They are perfect for portraiture and also very decadent cake toppers!
