I photographed my very first newborn 6 months ago and very quickly fell in love with newborn portraiture. This is such a special time in a families life and I love being there to capture all the little details. The following images are from a recent newborn session I had with sweet little Caroline. She slept so good and I was excited to use some of my girly props that had been waiting for the past few weeks. Julie had contacted me a few months back and was telling me about how her husband will be deployed and most likely wont be able to make it to the birth. Being a military wife myself I know first hand the importance of photographs during a deployment. My husband was deployed pretty much all of 2010 and I know he just loved all the photos he got of his little girl. I loved working with this family and hope that these photographs made their deployment a little easier.

I’m a simple girl and use my Nikon D300 and 50mm 1.4 at all my newborn sessions. Many of the propes used in this session are from my sponsors who are all linked on my blog!
