So awesome to be featured on this blog. There is a lot of amazing talent on here and I’m so flattered. This set of photos was from a senior mini session. The lovely Helena was my senior model last year and we went out for a few pictures in the spring just before she graduated. All photos were shot with Canon 5D and the 70-200mm lens. I usually don’t use that lens for seniors photos but….I felt like it. HA! I love portrait photography but seniors have my heart. Check that….senior GIRLS have my heart. The guys….well, they usually aren’t as excited about it.

I fell in love with this session right away… really who wouldn’t! The light is amazing. The girl is beautiful and Stephanie captured both beautifully!

This Senior session was photographed with my friend and fellow photographer, Kara Jo. We knew we wanted to shoot a Senior at sunset to use some beautiful back lighting. Luckily we had a gorgeous senior to work with. Kara told her to bring lots of outfits and then I brought a few shirts of my own that I thought would look great on her. We brought some accessories including glasses, hats, headbands and jewelry. Then we just guided her until she got comfortable and took off on her own. It is still one of my favorite Senior sessions to date. The combination of a beautiful senior girl and a good friend to photograph with made it perfect!

All images were shot w/ my Canon 5D and 85 and 24-70 lenses.
