Jenny + Tyler’s Love Session was pretty much a dream come true for myself! I did this shoot along with two of my other great friends who are local photographers in Kentucky. Nothing like having an incredible session while on vacation! We took ourselves to this old abandoned area in Richmond, KY and had a 2 mile stretch of gorgeous locations – left and right! I loved the casual, chill vibe these photos have. My particular favorites being the ones right at dusk on the beach. So much goodness!

I’m constantly trying to get myself to step outside of my comfort zone and I definitely think I was able to accomplish that this time! Special thanks to my lovely friends & fellow photographers during this shoot:

Before and After|Editing Inspiration

Tuesday, July 5th, 2011

Stephanie Pana Photography is back this time showing off her mad editing skillz ;) If you missed her feature post check it out here. Yes I am that cool! I adore her processing and I am sure you are as curious as I am about how she achieves her amazing images! Here are four before and afters.

Thank you Stephanie for sharing with us all!

I used basic Camera Raw edits to focus in on contrast, clarity, white balance and sharpening. Once the image entered Photoshop, I used Florabella’s Luxe Collection (Ambrosia) and adjusted the settings to my personal taste. I then used Jordan Voth’s “Foggy Tones” action as a top coat on the image to add the gray tone/haze.

Basic Camera Raw edits with contrast, clarity, sharpness. Once in Photoshop, I used Florabella’s Luxe II Collection (Envy) with several adjustments to the settings to create a softened look. After this, I used Jordan Voth’s “Foggy Tones” action to create the extra pop that it needed!

Focused my Camera Raw edits with contrast, clarity, sharpness. Once in Photoshop, I used Florabella’s Luxe II Collection (Envy) with just a few basic adjustments to the settings. I then used Jordan Voth’s “Foggy Tones” action to create the extreme haze/dark tone over the image.

Basic Camera Raw adjustments with contrast, clarity, white balance, and sharpness. I then make sure to use the patch tool to remove the gnats from the background. To create the B&W, I used Jordan Voth’s “B&W Film Action” and tweaked with the settings to create more of a deep mood to the photo.

Stephanie Pana Photography|Senior Inspiration

Monday, June 27th, 2011
Whenever I get a new inquiry for a High School Senior, my heart literally skips a beat. Something about this genre of photography truly makes my heart sing with joy. This is where I’m meant to be as a photographer. I love the chance to give every girl an opportunity to feel on top of the world, as she should.

Meet Liz, who was one of my 2011 Seniors. We collaborated so well together from the start. Her personality shined through from the beginning and stayed strong till the end. There is always laughter, happiness and a really relaxed vibe  during my shoots. I strive to somehow portray this into my style of shooting. I love the mixture of the different settings we were able to capture. Each one helped showcase her different styles to the fullest. Girls these days are so versatile and extremely fashionable! I don’t know about you, but I was quite awkward at this age ;)

I would have given anything to have these types of moments. Moments that make me remember to feel good about myself JUST the way I am. All of my girls are always themselves when it comes down to their own clothes, make up and hair. Everything is them and nothing is embellished. I want to make sure every girl leaves our session with a feeling of floating on the clouds :) That’s how I always feel after my shoots with these fabulous Seniors!
